THE EFFECTS OF CBD

THC vs CBD

CBD (cannabidiol) is a component of hemp (Cannabis sativa), which contains more than 120 specific active substances: cannabinoids. The main one is THC (Δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), which is responsible for the psychotropic effect of cannabis. Cannabidiol (CBD) is another cannabinoid. Unlike THC, it is not intoxicating and has no psychotropic effect.

Let us start by specifying that the sale of CBD is strictly supervised in Switzerland. A certified laboratory analyzes the samples of the products Naturalpes to make sure of a content of THC lower than 1%. The CBD sold by Naturalpes contains less than 1% THC, and can be qualified as legal cannabis. Our products are all made from plants grown in Switzerland and processed locally.

As far as the effects are concerned, CBD or Cannabidiol does not modify the state of consciousness of the person who consumes it. In conclusion, it does not make you "high", unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

The sale and consumption of CBD products with an average THC content of less than 1% is legal in Switzerland.

However, the FOPH Orders strictly regulate communication on the effects of CBD. You should therefore be aware that it is currently forbidden to communicate on the therapeutic properties of CBD with a low THC content.

We therefore refer to the recommendations of the FOPH: CBD products with a low THC content are not medicines. Their medicinal effect has not yet been sufficiently proven by ongoing medical research.

The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health makes it clear that studies are currently being conducted on the possible therapeutic properties of CBD: antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, antiemetic, anxiolytic or antipsychotic. The research is ongoing.
